Attorney Matthew Gutierrez

Attorney Matthew Gutierrez is admitted to practice law in California, New York and before all U.S. Immigration Courts throughout the United States. He earned his Juris Doctorate degree from UCLA School of Law, and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, with honors, from UCLA. During law school, Mr. Gutierrez completed additional MBA courses at UCLA Anderson School of Management and worked during his final year at a large national law firm. Mr. Gutierrez also served in the United States Army Reserve prior to law school. He currently serves in the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary.

Prior to co-founding Gutierrez Derham Law Firm, Matthew Gutierrez worked at a law firm in Newport Beach where his practice emphasized labor and employment litigation defense for private and government entity clients. His past results on the defense side include obtaining several dismissals of complaints before trial. At Gutierrez Derham Law Firm, he primarily represents employees in labor and employment and civil rights litigation, represents clients in immigration matters.

Attorney Amber B. Derham

Ms. Derham’s expertise also includes personal injury matters involving auto accidents, and premises and products liability. Prior to co-founding GDLF, Ms. Derham worked a law firm in Newport Beach practicing in the areas of labor and employment, personal injury, premises liability, real property disputes, construction defect, and landlord habitation statutes. Ms. Derham also worked at a Los Angeles firm handling personal injury matters from inception through trial, including 4 trials to jury verdict.

Ms. Derham is admitted to practice law in California and Tennessee. She is a member of the California State Bar Association (Labor and Employment Section) and the Orange County Bar Association (Labor and Employment Section). Ms. Derham is also a member of the Tennessee Bar Association (Labor and Employment Section). She earned her Juris Doctorate degree from Whittier Law School, and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from California State University - Fullerton. Ms. Derham’s involvement in the legal community began during her undergraduate studies where she externed for the College Legal Clinic and participated in the judicial intern program through the Orange County Superior Court. During law school, Ms. Derham served as a Child and Family advocate through the Whittier Special Education Clinic. Ms. Derham also worked at the Orange County District Attorney’s Office as a Certified Law Clerk.
